“To advance youths’ community service and leadership skills by providing a platform for kids to help and learn from other kids.”
– Kids2Kids Mission Statement
In 2009, a group of parents and children came together with one simple but big idea: a platform where kids could share, teach, and learn from each other in the world of the 21st century. That is exactly what Kids2Kids is today, after being established as a non-profit in 2014.
We’re passionate about what kids can do for the future. In fact, they are our future. Our world needs young talented kids to share their skills in fields such as science, technology, engineering, math, music, art, and sports. There are also kids who need (and want) these skills for a better tomorrow. As well as that, kids need to learn life skills like leadership, teamwork, cooperation, public speaking, respect, and patience. Our goal is to connect kids together and form a collaborative environment based on sharing, teaching, mentoring, and learning.
We provide a platform where older kids can teach in workshops where younger kids can learn and share their amazing knowledge. Volunteers help teach, mentor, be role models, and give back to communities. Through our platform, kids learn skills they’ll need to use in their adult lives and the next century.
We emphasize and promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). We have hosted several STEM workshops for kids, trained robotics coaches, and supported local FIRST Lego League (FLL) teams in New Jersey where STEM and life skills were exercised.
